Staying at Guest House Popov was a delightful experience immersed in great Bulgarian hospitality. The owners were incredibly kind, making it a joy to share dinner and conversations with fellow locals. The pork neck steak in their restaurant was a must-try, although the selection was limited. The comfortable bed led me to a blissful 12-hour sleep, with the added bonus of a balcony overseeing the majestic mountains. Conveniently located with a store nearby and onsite parking, it's a perfect base for exploring surrounding gems like Kovatchevitsa and Ognianovo or for a stopover en route to Greece. The rudimentary yet clean and cozy setup combined with the warm hosts' attentiveness made for a memorable stay. The exclusive restaurant for guests added a charming touch to the overall experience.
